Award Amount

A one-time $1000 award toward tuition for one recipient.

deadline

All materials must be submitted by July 31, 2027. Any submissions after the deadline will not be accepted.

The recipient will be notified and awarded on September 1, 2027.

Undergraduate Students

Open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. No graduate students. All majors are welcome to apply but tell me how you plan to use your entrepreneurial ideas.

What to include

Every Response

Essay response: 700-850 words
Personal Biography: Tell me about yourself, any entrepreneurial activities. Goals, dreams. 500 characters or less
Contact Info: Full name, phone, mailing address and email

Depending on Status

High school students: Graduation date, planned university, and current GPA
Enrolled students: Name of the accredited university you attend

“What does it mean to be an entrepreneur in today’s modern world?”

How to Apply

1. Write Your Essay

Answer the essay question in 700–850 words and save it as a Word document (.doc or .docx) or PDF document. Other file formats will not be accepted.

2: Gather your Information

You will need to provide your biography, contact details, and the academic information that applies to your current status.

3: Email your Application

Send your essay and information to melenowitzscholarship@gmail.com, with your essay attached as a Word document, before July 31, 2027.

You must include all information or your submission will be rejected.

Note: Applications that do not include a personal biography will not be accepted.
